Rites of Spring Music Festival, Inc.
The Rites of Spring Music Festival showcases artists performing classic and contemporary music in unique venues, including museums, wineries and other iconic settings that celebrate the beautiful natural environment of Long Island's North Fork and East End. The vision of the Festival is. to facilitate the highest level of artistry and artistic vibrancy through programs that foster cultural participation in order to build strong communities. In just 6 years, the Rites of Spring Music Festival has become the premier classical and contemporary music festival on the North Fork and East End of Long Island. In April 2016, the Festival was initiated to offer residents and the numerous visitors to the East End a unique opportunity to experience the beautiful and significant repertoire of chamber music presented by young soloists and vocal and instrumental ensembles of international standing. In 2017 the program was expanded to offer contemporary music along with classical works. Rites of Spring Music Festival brings together excellent musicians, young and old, of different races, languages, religions, and national origins. The calling of the organization is to offer the world music and arts that transcends difference and division. We pledge also to partner with local businesses and other organizations committed to promoting the North Fork and East End of Long Island, combining music, the natural environment, and historical heritage. Our intent is to be able to develop sustainable habits and models through music and the arts for our communities without forgetting the main privilege of living on the North Fork and East End of Long Island which is the opportunity to immerse yourself in nature, history and its beauties. These commitments proceed directly from our core values, our mission, and our shared vision of what a concert series based on these foundations looks like. |
